GF Technovation’s VITALS two-in-one solution for detecting vital signs and falls has won the First Runner Up Award in the Health Care & Well-Being category of the 2nd Smart Ageing Awards (2022). The award program organised by Golden Age Foundation (GAF) recognizes companies and organisations for implementing outstanding services, products and programs that bring quality, independence and dignity to the golden generation. The award ceremony will be held during the Gala Dinner on 12 August 2023 at Novotel Hong Kong Century.
GF Technovation’s Director Steven Leung will receive the award for the company, and he was also invited to share innovative ideas and experience for ageing topics with corporate leaders, professionals and company representatives at the event.
VITALS can be used to keep track of heart beats, breathing and the vibration of tiny movements 24/7, alerting carers to take action when the system detects anomalies or unassisted bed exits. The plug-and-play system with wi-fi connectivity supports remote monitoring, making it highly cost-effective for large care facilities caring for a large number of people, such as elderly homes and hospitals.
Mr Leung said: “We are honored to have received the First Runner Up Award of this year’s Smart Ageing Awards and we are very pleased to take part in the Gala Dinner. GF Technovation has been endeavoring to enrich community and people’s lives through innovative thinking and technology. Our team will continue to leverage technology to foster safer and healthier lifestyle for the golden generation.”
